I’ve been the author of an autobiographical novel for a year now. I could write another one about the experience. Poignant conversations at my Brewster (Cape Cod) post office, surprising raves even from husbands who heard their wives laughing or crying. I loved being on the Boston Literati television program. But no chance of taking all this fame seriously after my appearance at the Wellfleet Flea Market last summer. Not a lot of sales, but two sisters each bought a copy and wrote me wonderful emails. It was especially fun to hang out with the guy who sells vegetable peelers wearing a large cabbage leaf on his head to keep his bald pate from getting sunburned.
